Tom Diamond Award of Excellence

The Tom Diamond Award of Excellence is given to public leaders and individuals who have demonstrated, by both words and deeds, their great respect for Native American law and culture. The NALS Leadership reviews nominees for the award on the criteria of: attitudes toward Native American/American Indian legal issues, Indian Nations, Native Peoples and their culture; reputation, regard and perception in the Native American community; and, although not limited to individuals and officials in Texas, contributions within the State of Texas are an important consideration. Nominations can be made by any NALS member. The award is presented at the discretion of NALS leadership and in consultation with the award’s namesake, Tom Diamond.

Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to individuals (generally NALS members) who have demonstrated their exceptional dedication to the Native American Law Section’s goals of educating attorneys, judges, and others about Native American/American Indian law issues, and serving as a resource for those issues. Nominations can be made by any NALS member. The award is presented at the discretion of the NALS leadership.

Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to individuals (generally NALS members) who have demonstrated their exceptional dedication to the Native American Law Section's goals of educating attorneys, judges, and others about Native American/American Indian law issues, and serving as a resource for those issues. Nominations can be made by any NALS member. The award is presented at the discretion of the NALS leadership.
